"Thymos" means "perfume" in Greek. This small, aromatic herb has been used since ancient times for its excellent antiseptic and cold-relieving properties. Thyme is known to revive depression, feelings of fatigue and release traumatic emotions. It is a very beneficial essential oil for the entire immune system as it helps fight disease, activates circulation and is an expectorant, helping to expel thick mucus. Thyme is a delicate herbal note reminiscent of the nectar scent of forests and wild meadows. Saunas, room atmospheres, inhalations are welcome.
AREAS OF USE
SKIN / BODY
For rejuvenating body oil, dilute 1 ml. of geranium in 10 ml. of neutral organic base oil. Thyme essential oil should be used with caution.
SHOWER / STEAM
4 - 6 drops at the bottom of the shower stall, pour warm water.
BATH
Dilute 1 ml of thyme essential oil in 10 ml of neutral organic base oil.
Pour into running water for better distribution of fragrance in bath water.
INHALATION
Add 1-2 drops of thyme essential oil to a bowl of at least 2 liters of boiling water. Mix in 2 tablespoons of sea salt. Cover your head with a linen cloth and breathe deeply.
DIFFUSER
By adding 6-8 drops of thyme essential oil to the diffuser, the fragrant atmosphere will last for 2-3 hours in a 30 square meter room.
MIXES WELL WITH
Eucalyptus, lavender, orange, mandarin, bergamot, cedar.
